The solitary Eredivisie game on Friday evening ended in a draw as De Graafschap and Groningen could not be separated.

De Graafschap have yet to banish the spectre of relegation this season and will be pleased enough to take a point off seventh-placed Groningen.

The De Vijverberg faithful could have been forgiven for thinking the worse when Berry Powel gave Groningen a lead just before the half-time break.

However, Graafschap responded strongly and fought back to claim a share of the spoils when Will Johnson levelled matters seven minutes from time.

The result leaves Graafschap hovering over the drop zone in 15th place.
