Poland's Euro 2008 preparations suffered a blow as they were beaten 3-0 by the USA in a friendly match in Krakow.

The US were 2-0 up inside 35 minutes through Carlos Bocanegra and Oguchi Onyewu, before substitute Eddie Lewis sealed a comfortable victory in the 73rd minute.

Austria Vienna defender Arek Radomski (knee) made his first international appearance for Poland for 13 months, while LA Galaxy forward Landon Donovan made his 99th international appearance for the US.

The visitors soon took charge yet their opening goals came from unlikely sources with Fulham defender Bocanegra claiming a 12th-minute opener before Standard Liege defender Onyewu beat Poland's Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc to double the lead.

Poland coach Leo Beenhakker wielded the axe at the break, with Racing Santander striker Ebi Smolarek among four half-time substitutes.

The US made four changes of their own midway through the second half, with Lewis making his 75th international appearance as a 63rd-minute introduction.

And just 10 minutes later the Derby winger registered his ninth international goal to round off a disappointing evening for the Poles, who will face Croatia, Germany and co-hosts Austria in Group B at this summer's finals.
