Cazorla: Hard to reject Real
Villarreal midfielder Santi Cazorla says he would find it difficult to turn down a move to Real Madrid, if the Spanish champions' interest develops into an official bid.
The Spanish international midfielder has been linked with a switch to the Bernabeu with Marca stating that the club are ready to match his 16million euros (£12.7m) buy-out clause.
That has yet to be confirmed, but Cazorla has taken the unusual step of revealing his emotions to reporters when asked whether or not he would be tempted to join Madrid.
"When Real Madrid are interested in you it is very difficult to take in," Cazorla told Marca.
"They are the best team in Spain and the truth is that it would be very difficult to say no to. I am still in a state of shock.
"If Madrid came in and paid my buy-out clause fee then that would be a great moment for me.
"I do not know at the moment if they are going to do that or not, but I imagine we will find out in the next few days."
Madrid are also said to be interested in signing David Villa from Valencia and Cazorla is dreaming of the duo teaming up in the Spanish capital.
"I hope that I can play alongside Villa as he is a great friend, but I have not spoken to him and I do not know what his situation is," he continued.
Villarreal will be hoping that they do not receive a bid with so little time left of the transfer window, but Cazorla is not concerned about the Yellow Subamrines.
He added: "This has always been my club and they have given me everything, but if Madrid's interest in me is true then we will have to see what happens."
